Quail Hunt

SPECIES AND LIMITS:
This meticulously managed upland habitat offers the chance to harvest unlimited quail each morning and/or afternoon hunt. Birds are cleaned and processed after every hunt. Each hunter will have the opportunity to return home with at least the number of birds they harvested.

LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION:
This hunt will take place on 3000 acres of the famous Beretta Shooting Grounds in Kingston, GA. Located just 60 miles north of Atlanta, this destination is an easy drive from anywhere in Georgia, as well as surrounding areas in Alabama and Tennessee. Once on site, you’ll be met by your host who will provide transportation on the property throughout your stay.

HUNT STYLE & TERRAIN:
We offer a traditional walk-behind style hunt using world-class pointing and flushing bird dogs. Hunts are conducted with a maximum of 3 hunters per guide traversing an ideal mix of loblolly pines and native warm season grasses.

PRICE:
All hunt prices listed below are per person and based on 3 hunters x 1 guide (2 shooters at a time).

Overnight Hunt: $1,895 PER PERSON for a 1 night stay with a full day hunt (morning hunt and afternoon hunt). Minimum 2 guests required for overnight. Non-hunting guests are welcome for $350 PER PERSON.

• Price includes: 1 overnight stay at our luxurious Bobwhite Camp, breakfast, fully guided morning hunt, lunch, fully guided afternoon hunt, use of house guns, shells, and unlimited quail.
• Price does not include: Airfare or local transportation, hunting license/tags, or gratuities.

1/2 Day Hunt: $595 PER PERSON
Full Day Hunt: $950 PER PERSON

• Price includes: Pricing includes fully guided hunt, use of house guns, shells, and unlimited quail. Full day hunts include a morning, lunch and afternoon hunt.

GRATUITIES:
Our team works hard to ensure your experience is as good as it can be from start to finish. Therefore, when the smoke clears (and provide it’s warranted), a tip for your cook and guide will be greatly appreciated. Of course, the amount is at your discretion, but a good rule of thumb is 10% to 20% of hunt cost for your guide and 5% to 10% of hunt cost for your cook.

SAMPLE OVERNIGHT ITINERARY:

  • Relax, enjoy a good night’s rest and prepare for the following day’s hunt.

  • Checkout following your afternoon hunt.

MEALS & ACCOMMODATIONS:
Guests will stay at our Bobwhite Camp, a luxury 6 bedroom, best in class, lodge adjoining the Beretta Shooting Grounds. For the ultimate in exclusivity, the lodge includes 6 single rooms with a private chef and staff. All you will need to bring is your personal gear and toiletries.

TYPICAL WEATHER CONDITIONS:
From October thru November, Georgia temps are quite comfortable and often reach the mid to high 70’s. During December thru February, Georgia typically experiences mild winters with average highs in the 50s and average lows in the 30s. While generally mild, there is an occasional chance of frost and temperatures dipping to freezing, particularly overnight, and some snow is possible, especially in northern areas. Preparing for various weather conditions is a must so we will provide a recommended gear list once you have booked your hunt.

SHOTGUNS:
You are welcome to bring your own gun or shoot our house 20 or 28 gauges. Only break action guns in 20 gauges or smaller caliber please. 20 and 28 gauge shells are supplied by Beretta Shooting Ground. If you plan on shooting a 410, please bring your own shells.

LICENSING DETAILS:
A State Preserve Hunting License is required, and can be purchased on site for $12.

IMPORTANT NOTE: HUNTERS SAFETY CARD IS REQUIRED FOR ALL HUNTERS UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE.

PROCESSING:
Birds are cleaned and processed after every hunt.

GEAR LIST:
All you’ll need to bring is your personal hunting gear and toiletries. We will provide a recommended gear list once you have booked your hunt.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Sporting Clays, UTV Rides, Golf, Horseback Riding, Hiking and additional outdoor activities are available through the world-class Barnsley Resort just minutes from the Beretta Shooting Grounds.

DEPOSITS:
A 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid to reserve your space. Final payments are due 60 days prior to hunt start date.
